Washington Capitals 3, Calgary Flames 1

Led by a streaking Great Eight, the Capitals won their 4th straight game on Tuesday night, beating the Calgary Flames at Verizon Center.  Ovi scored a goal for the 3rd game in a row, and now has 2 points per game during the Caps largest winning streak of four games under the new coaching staff this season.  Alex is now on a 7 game point streak and has scored a goal in 8 of the last 9 games.

With hot Semin all over the bench, and a fresh Mike Green back in the lineup, the Caps easily took care of the struggling Flames who have now lost 4 in a row.  With Green back the Caps defense allowed under 20 shots and Vokoun picked up his 4th straight win after saving 18 of 19.

Once again the Caps only attempted 21 shots, but they made them count scoring on 3 of them, two of which were on power plays (2/3 on the night).  The PK was 4/4 as well.

With Ovechkin on fire and Vokoun playing satisfactory goal, the Caps have a chance to continue this winning streak and get back into the playoff hunt where they belong.
