Tonight during an episode of HBO's Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, I heard a familiar voice. I wasn't looking up at the TV but that voice that was talking about pig excrement was all too familiar. I looked up from my computer and guess who I saw?
It was the Washington Capitals in-house Verizon Center voice, Wes Johnson. And his lines were hilarious.
He was playing a southern Carolinian pig farmer or something of that sorts. Read this on the computer screen and then imagine it being said in Wes Johnson's booming voice. Awesome.
"You can't raise pigs without excrement ma'am, it just can't be done. They defecate, and they defecate with speed and volume, yeah..."
My episode of @veephbo airs at 10pm tonight. I'm in a short, funny scene with @officialjld. She's awesome :)twitpic.com/ckyc7o

Veep also made some other DC Sports news earlier. Here is the Selina Meyer mascot character in DC racing at a Nats game against the presidents.
