When Matt Hendricks did a little dance after scoring a goal the other night, we couldn't stop smiling.  Not only was it a great goal that helped the Caps clinch the playoffs, but it was a great display of emotion, and just a bunch of fun.  The Hendy Shuffle was born.

After the game we couldn't stop doing it ourselves.  Getting food from the Fridge, Hendy Shuffly. Walking the dog, Hendy Shuffle.  Business meeting, Hendy Shuffle.  So we thought we'd put together a video to teach YOU how to do the Hendy Shuffle.  It's simple, just follow along with Matt Hendricks, Alex Ovechkin, and Nicklas Backstrom!

The Caps got off to a good start in the biggest game of the lockout shortened season.  Matt Hendrix (I call him that cuz he Rocks) scored a goal early in the first period to give the Washington Capitals a 1-0 lead over the Winnipeg Jets.

After the goal, Hendricks absolutely laid out the Jets Paul Potsma and then did a little Hendy Dance!  I'm gonna call that the "Hendy Shuffle" Check out the GIFs.

Hendricks Paralyzes, Perreault Goes Nuts

Big Shootout win tonight for the Caps.  2 Goals by Ovi and Hendricks and 2 saves by Holtby.  Game, set, match.  Perreault liked it:

Matt Hendricks Fights Rinaldo, Both Ejected

Here Is the Flyers Zac Rinaldo throwing about 12x as many punches on Matt Hendricks who barely gets a shot in while Rinaldo goes into turbo mode.  Both player were ejected as this took place before the puck was dropped on a faceoff.

I counted about 12 thrown punches by Rinaldo, not sure if anything landed anywhere besides the back of the helmet. Probably hurt his hands worse.

The fight stemmed off an elbow from John Erskine to Wayne Simmonds face that left the Flyers player bloody on the ice.

Matt Hendricks Hanging Out With Fans

After a Washington Capitals unofficial practice, Matt Hendricks took a few minutes to spend some time with a small group of fans who were gathered outside of Kettler Iceplex.  Hendy talks about the time he spent in Afghanistan this holiday season to support the troops, the impending CBA signing, and the signing of former Cap Eric Fehr.  Check it out:

While all of the Caps players were very friendly to fans and signed all requested items (and took all requested pictures) Hendricks was extremely nice, spending several minutes small talking with fans.
